Soft Metro Surgery (Bodog 2006)

Vancouver's freshly new force under a spooky name The Vincent Black Shadow led by their frontwoman Cassandra Ford with her three companions dreesing up in black, always trying to look pale and passive as odd mannequin playing rock music hard enough to be the next real deal in modern alternative music realm nowadays. Mixing the sinister hook of No Doubt's Return to Saturn era, sense of goth-rock influence with the stereo-style from The Misfits and modern urban straight rock with a rockabilly vocalist sounded similar to Gwen Stefani.
The other three members - The Kirkham Brothers might proudly proclaiming their gloomy goth music even though there are hundreds band like them across the region but truly, when you have time to checking them out one would find The Vincent Black Shadow interesting a lot like trying to research for the mysterious blackbird. Bullet on the tracks, The house of tasteful man, Ghost train out or Broken; all sounded fearless and sticking tightly to the core of standart rock n roll euphoria which is a very promising. Within the very neat engineer works and production of Jason Darr and band guitarist Robbie Kirkham that spawning this two thumbs up album to the surface might be the sign of more and more "real" independent mucisians whom rose somewhere - everyday, everywhere reminding us back to past when there was a search for the next Nirvana.
Rockabilly beats and sexy vocals will be surrounded your hearings, giving you a different taste of atmosphere accompanied with beers and fries for weekend nights but if you looking for a championing single - there's Metro all wrapped out as a present even when thus drugs of your won't worked no more ...
So, why choose The Vincent Black Shadow ?   Well, why not !?
