Almost years passes by perhaps, after the unfortunate disbanded of Dallas, TX heavy weight champion and metal masters group - Pantera that put up another damn turning point for the drummer Vinnie Paul whom also lost his excellent brother Dimebag of a cowardice shootings incident on December, 2004. The meeting with country singer David Allen Coe was a bit coincident but as the story goes Vinnie re-build his own new project beside his last group Hellyeah within a great fucking jobs of (the late) Dimebag brutal shreddings department in most of song parts and the assistance of his long time pals from Pantera bassist Rex Brown and also Hank Williams III, Rex Mauney and Joey Floyd. The new project Rebel Meets Rebel (RMR)debut is a little bit crunchy by the likes of country meets rock meets Southern metal comforts as their drawing red lines but the heaviness and the power drumming beats are still there to stay as the rebellious songs like No compromise and Get outta my life grooves brought back the "metal power" a la Pantera as it resurfacing to pounds your fucking ears up. Heroic anthem of booze induced and rousing sharp lyrics to smack-dab slicing tempos. Even on the awkwardly country basic morning woke on Nothing to lose, Vinnie's drumming still can handle the melodramatic phase of Coe's more trad vocals with faster beats like a cowboy on a ride in the middle of a stampede.
Phil Anselmo is also on the menu, dueting with Coe on the another country metal crushing Rebel Meets Rebel which was sounded kinda like running inside the rainstorm butt naked or RMR's native rooting of the Midwestern American way in the excited trad pump-rock Cherokee Cry. This group is a badass as the music so jarring and stimulate it will infusing your metal brain to its core inside out.Crank this up loud: http://youtu.be/36Cbz8GZqAA
