Not as hardcore and raw as the dangerous gangsta rap genre but this Basehead's frontman Michael Ivey lyrics can be sounded too subversive as well as the nude sex stories. Their "slacker rap" actually contains of the influental ingredients of hip hop, psychedelic, rock, Motown rhythms, blues and reggae. Slower but superb for giving its listener a real alternative taste for the rap world flavors, Basehead did it again with this indie label record.
Brand New Day, 2000 B.C.
