The 13 Engines quartet John Critchley (voice, guitar), Grant Ethier (drums, voice), Jim Hughes (bass, voice) and Mike Robbins (guitar) coming along way down from a far white Northern territory up in Canada to rock some ears (the modern way).
These Ontario group is a newbie but their sound of music might straightly reminding some of you to the combination mix between The Replacements originality and the enchanted virtue folky post-grunge of Pavement.
The album Conquistador having some brave energy of Modern Rock and softer distorted effects left by Seattle’s sound legacy, constantly presents these simple chord keys built-up sweet songs like Bird of Prey, Cootie Girl, Satellite, Slow and Naked to the Latino influence on the bold tunes – Menefreghista.
