For Mom is dedicated truly to his mom whom had been a long-time patient of Colon Cancer disease as on this Colma album Mr. "Elusive Odd Virtuoso" Buckethead would sounding bit of acoustical or ruminative in reflects. This strange "Jedi Master" guitarist digging deeper to find more slower bluesy tones under uncertainty as his reflection on the mirror getting blurred but this album works out really different in a fine electic way. Mostly instrumental-ic tracks listed here - Ghost, Big Sur Moon, Machete, Wishing Well to Lone Sal Bug and Wondering are the soft walk cicling the edge between despair and hope without words only sounds - like most of his work used to be; Buckethead and Colma are cementing their prescence among the stars and many collector's catalog as well as we should credited to them who helping Buckethead finishing this great record - Bill Laswell (producer, bass), Brain Mantia the drummer, Terry Untalan (cello, viola) and DJ Disk for the vulnerable samples touch. The progressive processing of both alternative tones and solitude can be caught easily on this "tamed" release but if you brave enough to do different things today than Buckethead should be your trusted role model as it's shown here as feelings of human.
