Girlfriend’s Gonna Take Me (RCA Records 1984)

The Pasadena Hardrock and Glam Metal band Autograph might never been too damn famous like their compatriots from the strong scene that ruling the music map of America back then but with the releasing of this debut album Sign in Please, Steven Plunkett (lead vocals), Steven Lynch (lead guitar), Steven Isham (keyboards, backing vocals), Randy rand (bass) and Keni Richards (drums, noise) with the cold hand of producer Neil Kernon easily gaining gold certificate from RIAA even though their position on Billboard 200 chart only reaches number 29. The key of this instant success must be relayed on the band’s good compositions and catchy AOR tones that quickly being favorable and gaining their names through the fastest recording sessions for this one that only lasted 30 days to be recorded. Don’t be shy to try because most of the songs actually sounded really fantastic like the more simple version of Def Leppard including the awesome vocals harmony and cutting edge solos on Turn Up the Radio, Deep End, Cloud 10, Thrill of Love to Friday. All is good in Hardrock and Glam combinations !
