Doomed To Walk The Earth (Spinefarm Records 2007)

  

   Jyvaskyla, Finland's finest presenting to us Swallow The Sun; one of their best Doom Metal/Melodic Death bands ever spawning from that colder place of the planet on the upper far North. These six-piece Extreme-Metalheads consisting of vocalist Mikko Kotamaki, double shredders Juha Raivio and Markus Jamsen, bassist Matti Honkonen, Aleksi Munter on keyboards and Pasi Pasanen on drums really reacting in very sensitive and competent to exploding their listeners senses by using the power-rage of ultimate Doomy Metal tempo and technical skills led the sounds into a great mix of gruntle grudges recording that kills slowly. The third album released by this Finnish band must be their fabulous one; having the entire aspects of Atmospheric Doom Metal made of Europe branded here inside the record with a simple title - Hope. But exceptionally, there's no nothing to hoping for but the darkness and death itself coming back on the second time to reclaiming its throne upon this Earth within the destruction, despair and painful sorrow written carefully on the un-romantic graceful terror tracks from the cold unknown - These Hours Of Despair, Don't Fall Asleep (Horror Pt. 2) or The Justice Of Suffering; telling us all that there's no more chance for redemption even after the permanent pain is gone.
