Tiffany Rings Nature (Capitol Records 1969)
Known as The Barracudas and Rahgoos before changing their name to Gandalf; as the legendary wizard iconic prescence got more attention from the media and the time's right for them to experiencing the experimental sharing off the band's Psychedelic Progressive Rock music and releasing the debut album with a self-titled album. Gandalf (the band and the album) is precisely sounded fimiliar to any classic rock session jams but put their eccentric of more Jazzy/Fusion onto the blending sounds through these quartet sophomore efforts in Gandalf album. Guitarist Peter Sando, bassist Bob Muller, keyboardist Frank Hubach and drummer Davy Bauer not trying to be sounded pessimistic but the slowtones and the ballad progress of the organ effects and hallucinative lyrics really turning to the band's rock mantras to gain more attention from the crowds especially the fans and music lovers of the Flower Generation society. You Upset The Grace Of Living, Can You Travel In The Dark Alone, Hang On To A Dream or Golden Earrings would threating your feelings to flying away higher with or without the acid drug effects consuming by the most of the people on that timeline momentary on that era. Gandalf must be one of the important names collectively should be granted as the pioneers to raising the popularity of this Psychedelic Rock genre.
