Smack Own Poison (Republic Records 1999)

There are no rock radio stations in US soil that would skipping air-time play and not put the hit single Kryptonite from 3 Doors Down into their playlist because this is really a superb hits that miraculously brought the unknown name of 3 Doors Down to shines. Playing their standard Modern Rock/Grunge and Hard Rock influence; these Escatawpa, Mississippi five-piece band that consisting of Matt Roberts (lead and rhythm guitars, backing vocals), hris Henderson (rhythm and lead guitars), Todd Harnell (bass), Brad Arnold (drums, lead vocals) and the additional keyboardist Kevin Paige, mixing their sophisticated sounds with high tones distortions and heavy riffs but not a Metal Music but Rock in their veins – leading their debut album The Better Life reaching the certified platinum on US and Canada brings their positive attitude to the right place just like the band’s depressive rocking album with some other songs like Duck and Run, Loser or the fun relaxing contemplating track of e Like That.

A new portrait of a young generation facing the millennium.
