Half Rock N’ Roll – half Indie Pop and the best days of this scene era blossoming faster like fungus on a rainy season through-out England to Europe; leaving some winners and losers tried to rock the boat of music lovers and media at once just like Strangelove did.
These Bristol’s group bursting their brave tracks like Sixer, I Will Burn, Low
Life, World Outside and The Return of The Real Me through the good debut album
– Time For The Rest of Your Life that carrying the sounds and thin influences
from The Smiths, The Psychedelic Furs and The Stone Roses in one package cold
and semi-heavy in their beats but still originated as an Indie-Rock band as
well. Melodic feedbacks and peculiar solos themed the entire album to be shaped
as depressive as Popish band can really becomes; leaving the founders like
drummer David Francolini and vocalist Patrick Duff living in their Rock N’ Roll
career with Strangelove only for three albums to be lasted.
Nevertheless, the
quartet’s performances and legacy might later becoming an assets being
collectible by the big fans of Alternative/Indie Pop bands that cannot always
becomes the winner but on this case of Strangelove, might only just another
Quiet Day to spend, to experienced.
