Coliseum Roman (Ever Rat/Red Light Records 1993)
Fat bastard drummer and lead vocalist of the semi-legendary “Rapist Rock” band The Mentors from Seattle, WA whom since then by giving his nickname alias as El Duce; Eldon Hoke remains always living inside his own controversial lives as far as people would knowing it as well gaining attentions for demonstrating incorrect politics or comments, confusing the senate committee debate due to the group’s obscene lyrics, confusing other free-thinker musicians to fighting Tipper Gore’s PMRC (or trying to smacking her and squeezing her private areas) there’s nothing positive coming from El Duce just like his solo album after The Mentors broke-up; Slaves to Thy Master that sounded distorted, dark and formidably obscene by displaying the dominate giant version of himself in the front cover sitting on a throne surrounded by sexy woman – all dressing up in such latex/semi-nudity/S&M bondage slavery sexual attraction for eye-viewing as the music can be comparison to a Psychotic Death-Rock with a little bit serial killer taste that can be someone else girlfriends or sisters nightmare for being snatched somewhere on a remote quiet corners outside town by sickening pervert or maniac using this album as their soundtrack. Either he’s the real killer of Mr. Cobain as he got paid by slutty Courtney or he’s surviving the fake death after being hit by a train in Riverside; El Duce was and still is an ultimate shocker rocker bursting his anti-social lyrics and Punk-Rock music through Meatrack, Ungroomed Loser, Asshole Gassholeen, Witch Hunter of Salem or Cold Turkey here on this recording as sick as himself.
