Probably, this is one of the best Dark Wave album ever made ! The Birthday Massacre obviously cares about figuring out how to making an incredible record and ended up resulting – Hide and Seek. The sixth album from this Ontario electro-goth group would honestly be an introspective experience over fear, nightmares and unseen danger which already became an infected sickness among modern world society. The beautiful vocals from Chibi with the help from the rest of the bands – Rainbow (rhythm guitars), Falcore (lead guitars), Owen (keyboards), Nate Manor (bass) and Rhim (drums) creating the gothic rock compositions within the blending of symphonies and ambiguity lyrics telling us about the tragic story of kidnapping children, regrets or crime patterns based on the killer’s mind. Softer beats of techno-rock and gloomy goth classic all are here to be served well-done and authentically mezmerizing. No wonder that everyone will easily fallen in love with gorgeous tracks like Down, Leaving Tonight, Play with Fire, Alibis or Cover my eyes; a perfect silent whispers for sending back the last messages from the unsaved victims of sexual crimes to the love ones. Whilst the memories left untracked in the cold wind and hidden places covered by the night.
