One of the legendary names ever comes out of The Netherlands' Death Metal scene must be none other than Asphyx; this Oldenzaal - Twente Death/Doom Metal group that already formed since the late eighties is the ultimate answer for the latest Florida's imported Death Metal troops from the Western Front of Europe. Having their horrific themes talking about Occultism, torture, war, death and damnations as these Death Metalhead and bone-crushers leading themselves to become one of the most elite on the underground music scene as their never lost the extremity with an addition of Doomy Metal influences upon them creating the unification mix that along the way giving Asphyx its true original identity separates them from other monotonous acts of Death Metal and leads the scene to the more modern sounds completing the genre evolution in times. Last One on Earth must be a perfect album to be released as it talks a lot about end of days, apocalypse or doomsday upon our own eyes; only with the band as trio while recording this album but still the sounds are fucking heavy and shall killing any non-believer of Heavy Metal instead. The total chaotic double pedals, the conquering slamming riffs and terrifying growler vocals from Martin van Drunen, guitarist Eric Daniels and drummer Bob Bagchus definitely dangerous and above average with the good tempo changing and various skillful techniques making these trio resurrecting as the new Death Metal king of The Netherlands within this album. Last One on Earth spawning some great blown up tracks that must be putting you in timeless headbanging actions while thrashy listening to
Serenade In Lead, The Krusher, The Incarnation Of Lust or Streams Of Ancient Wisdom. the fourty minutes duration of this album will feel like forever in a metallic heavy Hell Planet forever and ever ... Aaarrgghh !
