Friction Light Guiding (Elektra 1977)

Coming not too cleanly clear but full of improvisations backed up by the likes of Punk Rock before New Wave era taken over and influenced by the Jazz mixes from the late 60's this semi-legendary band from New York formed by Richard Hell and Tom Verlaine later joins by drummer Billy Ficca and Fred Smith on bass and vocals; the band Television finally saw their bigger opportunity after releasing their debut record Marquee Moon - a trademarking album which can be considerable as one of the pioneering recordings to sparks Post-Rock, Indie Music and Modern Pop in the group's Garage/Velvet Underground style with the colder tones and tempo in mid-slow minimalist but also melodiously flaunt on the same time through See No Evil, Venus, Elevation or Prove it.
Not being in the inner circle of thus Pogo-lorious Days which The Clash or Johnny Rotten's crew owned during the era of Punk Rock but this humble and more independent band keeps on struggling with themselves between local recognition and hardworks through their short-lived periods whilst in the end believed by the experts of Rock music and the media later on as the seeds to blossoming the next chapters off this genre through Grunge and Alternative Rock scene. Television influences stretched wider and higher to infecting the next "non-wealthy rockers generations" from UK soils back to Seattle and the surrounding areas; leaving the legacy of Television: an electronic device which gladly invented with such a concept to influencing our whole parts of modern living today.

Turn it on, enjoy the luxurious days of enjoyments and have some more ...
