One of the wonder
bands which keeps wandering around and touring and bored for releasing albums
without being notice by the Punk Rock media to damn much as they’re hailing
themselves proudly from Montreal, Canada as the first attempts of this band –
The Doughboys formed by the ex member of another band called the Axesuals, John
Kastner releasing the debut which actually got big in his homeland but the
existence of the group questioned because of too many line-up changes and thus
frequent events making the band’s steps paused or stagnant. Moving their butts
to the neighboring country of USA; The Doughboys once again have to restlessly
wrestled their own footsteps for being just a name inside the billion bands
trying to be successful in the bigger Punk Rock/Alternative Rock market in U.S
and the next recording release – Home Again probably didn’t eventually making
their name bigger but at least, The Doughboys already known by the scene bit by
bits slowly.
Combining the Post-Hardcore Skate-Punk and Pop driven music onto
their own formulae really catches some interests for the record but the fog
still glided upon them in misfortune. You might getting along by liking the few
tracks out of this album like I won’t write you a letter or White Sister or
ever Sleep; focusing their lyrics on daily Numbered Days and broken-dreams of
relationships between mankind and their social surroundings …
