As The
Lemonheads going to a very long hiatus and it makes the band founder Evan Dando
seems to be tortured by his boredomness, the most reasonable thought is doing
the self-management recording and with Baby I’m Bored which having its
influence from mostly Oasis and Indie Rock UK contingent had blessfully giving
Evan Dando another try for exploring his American-Rooted talents on mixing the
Alternative Jangle Pop with Indie music on this first debut. Anyone could feel
how confusing the record really is with the deep sadness clinging onto the
atmosphere of both sounds and lyrics written by Mr. Dando also collaborated
with friends; not everything is acoustical but slower and mellowed than any
other releases from him and his band before caught on this tracks like Shots is
Fired (Dando, Brion), Hard Drive or All My Life (Ben Lee), My Idea (T. Morgan,
C. Brakow) and guest musicians and additional players such as Joey Burn (double
bass), Royston Langdon, Sim Cain on drums to Bryce Goggin on piano, stitching
the surrounding melodies that can catch and putting them into the slow-motion
volume in harmony – didn’t wasted yet but no too fit for brighter your day as
an outfit.
