Hammering Wicked Dumb Push (Mushroom Records 1998)




 

   Folllowing the precious success for their debut album sellings and the mark of bigger fame shines upon the band's luck; these Madison, Wisconsin's first starting as rock music project - Garbage from the anxiety Grunge producer Butch Vig by having his companion from the duo creative musicians Duke Erikson (guitar, keyboards) and Steve Marker (guitar, loops) as well as the charismatic mysterious Scottish female vocalist with scary eyes - Shirley Manson on board completing the group formation. Back with the second effort Version 2.0 which already brought their distinctive Electro-Indie of Pop and Grunge influences and identity with darker/sarcastic lyrics onto thus twelve tracks inside the orange dominated cover album from Garbage. One will have a good gaming touch for tasting the clips off the single Special or When I Grow Up or the other side of insanity in the brain's membranes of the group members (or just Ms. Shirley herself) on the semi-droning Pop Indie Electro track  I Think I'm Paranoid and th rest of their performance within the darlite ballad Medication or The Trick Is To Keep Breathing which sharing thoughts about being weirdy wise in career and fake fame. This continuing release must be fit really well as the next consequent contender to Garbage's self-titled one - completed the shows with the marvelous closing from the quartet on thus last years of the nineties era where your choices for music is totally various, expanding and tasteful in beats or distorted charm like real arts !
