Slang Dead Down (Blackout! Records 1994)

The informing taste of this band which controlling their relentless offering of Iggy and the Stooges smashing sounds but creaming the edgy noise with more smoothie of Pop Rock cultural licks that giving the more opportunity for The Goops to get along pretty well with the next Punk Rock waves scene as these quartet riding the first impressive debutant with self-titled record and achieving more than enough applause and good positive reviews from music critics so far. The Goops consisting of the founders – guitarist Brad Worrell and “the beautier sided twins of Harley Quinn” vocalist Eleanor Whitledge before they becoming more famous after being listed as one of the soundtrack band-list for the teenage silly movie Mallrats. With bassist Steve Mazur and drummer Jeff Bennison; these quartet from New York should be fair enough to wrecking your hometown stage while doing their tour across the country as well as even bigger bands put some respects on them whilst the comic package also made for celebrating the birth of this newer form of the Iggy Pop re-incarnation with a female-fronted band format within The Goops. Listening to all of their tracks here on this self-titled album as you won’t be disappointed because the music is loud, the guitar solos are melodious and the vocalist looking amazingly hot while the songs might brought you back to the firat days of your Punk Rock rebellion anthems and broken-dreams crushed by the modern day catastrophic stupidity socialized values throughout I Don’t Care, The Day I Met Iggy, Nobody goes to waste, Booze Cabana, I Am Legend or Use no hooks. This band seriously kicks some ass with attitudes !
