Walking Stick (Fat Possum Records 2006)

Houma, Louisiana the home of US newer Southern Rock and Metal capital city of the world spawning many kinds of various bands around and up or down and gone but Deadboy and The Elephantmen ain’t one of them. This Indie Rock turning from a thicker influenced of Stoner Sludge band as formed by Dax Riggs on vocals with plenty ex-members and additional musicians truly recognizable as an underground acts which totally mysterious and cannot be tamed but then as years gone by and the wind blows to a different direction also affecting Dax Riggs (the ex-member of Acid Bath) for being sounded mature and more wiser in making good music as he decided to teaming up with Tess Brunet the female drummer maybe not too intentionally disguising as the next Southern version of The White Stripes.
Y’all must be happy not because the changes of their music directions on the album We Are Night Sky that sounded too poppy to be called Deadboy and The Elephantmen type of music but honestly, after a few minutes listening and contemplating shocks hearing this reasonable doubts tracks for more Alternative Rock corporates music on Ancient Man, How Long The Night Was, Dressed in Smoke or Blood Music; sounded like butter and bread waiting to be mixed with something else good and consume in super-glad feelings.
