We Are Watching You (Sharpnel Records 1984)

Soon after recording the demo tape the band’s bass player Cliff Burton left his former Thrash/Speed Metal group Trauma and soon after that Trauma itself releasing their first debut studio full album entitled Scratch and Scream as Cliff’s fortune already changed by joining the quartet Metal band named Metallica while his own ex-band from San Francisco chosen the other way of Heavy Metal playing mostly through “the background” areas around US soil while Metallica becoming Metal-Gods. Actually, you would agree that this debut didn’t sounded disappointed at all to cranking thus songs inside out louder cause Trauma really had their own eighties hammering speed tempos with the scary lyrics about the self-written experiences while living the ugly life that brings pain and fear captures heart of the fainted faces people being a coward before it forcing them to getting madder, crazy and then, explodes ! One and more Thrash Metal fanatics will considering this record as one of the Classic collections from this type of Heavy Metal sub-genre and terrible themes and stories form tracks like I Kill for Less, Bringin’ The House Down or The Day All Hell Broke Loose sounded shocking with their high-pitched voclas and angry aggro-power riffs raging to put these kind of music soundtracking the evil incarnated rituals slasher movies from the eighites era and such. The tragic story ended with the death of Cliff Burton and the resurrection of Hair Metal followed by the excitements destruction brought by Grunge syndrome to the Metal world. The Trauma line-up for Scratch and Scream is Lucas Advicula (bass), Donny Hillier (vocals), Ross Alexander and Michael Overton (guitars) and Kris Gustafson (drums).
