Now a former Yugoslavian territory
turning to legitimate free country – Croatia might not producing too much bands
or well-known artists every year but for now, let’s just going back in time and
used this opportunity to listening to these Rijeka’s Power-Pop or Indie Rock
group Xenia with Josko Serdarevic on drums, Marinko Radetic (bass), Robert
Funcic (guitars) and their consent female front-woman Vesna Vrandecic
performing the type of soften Pop-Rock music with good sense of attributes and
smart moves for creating melodic touches between one song to another which
sounded fun and energetic to hear for even you might didn’t know one single
thing what they’re talking about. From the album - Kad Nedjelja Prode and off the tracks like Ne (Subota Uvece) which telling
the polite rejection to someone on a date, Vjetar U Kosi (Wind on your hair)
and Iznenadi Me as a surprising acclamations from the female vocalist to the
boy’s world outside. One shall really didn’t expected that even though the
group’s playing the old stuff tempos and influences from the New Wave era as
well as being attracted to silly Punk-Pop-Polka forms towards their album and
music; we should know now that Croatians actually should be for having this
fine band with silly performance but writing plenty fun songs eager to
forgetting how you already crossing the Crveno Svjetlo !
